Carroll Julius Hill

Carroll was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn Elizabeth Hill with whom they celebrated over 50 years of marriage. Carroll was born on August 10, 1927, son of the late Solomon and Sallie Mae Hill. Cal was a career musician and entertainer that performed all over the country with his three brothers known as the “Jolly Jax”. For over 30 years Carroll performed as the pianist at Baxter’s Boathouse Restaurant in Hyannis. Brother Hill was a strong supporter of the Zion Union Church and also a pianist for the church’s ministry.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Debra Jean Owens and Rowen; daughter, Kim Bennett; son, Ricardo Bennett; and son, John Hunt. Cal was predeceased in life by his daughter, Vickie Bennett, and 10 sisters and brothers. Also, he is survived by his brother, Harrison Hill and his wife Ruth, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church members.

Cal, you will always live in our hearts, we love you.

Visitation will be held at the Zion Union Church, 805 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the MA National Cemetery at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Zion Union Church. Doane, Beal, & Ames Funeral Home is handling his services.
