Claire Margaret Guiney, 86, of Hyannis passed away on October 21, 2019.
Claire graduated from the Mass. Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1953 in the Boston area. She was devoted to polio nursing until the vaccine was effective in 1956. She also attended Simmons College and graduated with a B.S. degree in 1958. She loved to travel. She worked in a kidney dialysis program in CA and later at NIH in Bethesda, MD, then to Tufts-N.E. Medical Center in Boston. She loved theatre, Edward Gorey and art and the scenery of the Cape. Claire also volunteered for the Barnstable Senior Center in her later years. She will be missed.
