Darryl Erb

Darryl was born on June 18, 1964 in Hyannis, Massachusetts. He was a proud Mayflower descendant and carried a deep connection to his Cape Cod roots. He was a gifted master mechanic, MVAC Technician Certified, Oil Burner Technician, and a state-certified motorcycle instructor. Darryl found joy not just in engines and open roads, but in moments spent with his children, grandchildren, and many friends who were also his family.

Darryl is preceded in death by his parents, Marion Phinney Erb and Vernon Erb, his brother, David Erb, and his love, Kathy Keller. He leaves behind his children, Sheryl Erb (Michelle) and Sara Aboutian (Gary), and his four cherished grandchildren: Minah, Lilah, Fiona, and Ari.

Known for his quick wit, soft spot for animals, and his refusal to ever pass up a scoop of ice cream, Darryl’s presence was felt when he walked into a room. Whether he was cracking a joke or giving advice, he lived with an authenticity that touched everyone he met.

Darryl's family will welcome visitors on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street, Hyannis. The funeral will take place at the same location on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Everyone who knew and loved Darryl is invited to come honor his life.
