Donald K Holmes

Cotuit- Donald K. Holmes, 60, was one of three sets of twins born to the late Rudolph and Carrie Holmes. He was born in Graves County, KY on October 18, 1950. He was in the Army during the Vietnam era where he began his training as a plumber which he continued in trade school following his military service. Donald lived and worked on Nantucket for 25 years. He is survived by wife, Ingrid L. Holmes of Cotuit, MA and his daughter Monica Holmes of Nashville, sister Ellen Jane Wadlington and his twin brother Ronald Holmes and his wife Charlene of Las Vegas, Nevada. He also leaves his granddaughters M’khala and Malia Lawson of Nashville, many nieces and nephews including Christian G. Holmes of Cotuit as well as many cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Hilton Holmes, Milton Holmes and a sister Evelyn Elaine Holmes. Visiting hours will be Thursday August 11, 2011from 4-6pm at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home 160 W. Main St. Hyannis, MA 02601. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 6pm.
