Elizabeth "Beth" Ellen Sheehy

Elizabeth Ellen “Beth” Sheehy died on Thursday June 27, 2024, at Cape Cod Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Hyannis to the late Alfred M. and G. Elizabeth “Betty” Sheehy. She is survived by her daughter, Christina Semple, of Scarsdale NY, who was the pride and joy of her life. She is survived by her sisters and their families, including Emily and Jack Mezzetti of Hyannis; Catherine and Richard Crean of Scarsdale, NY; Margaret and Charles Buehler of Houston, TX; Mary and Robert Preston of Belmar NJ; and Megan and Jim McFarland of Allen, TX. Her brother, Alfred Sheehy Jr, predeceased her. She was part of a large family of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and many cousins. She also leaves behind her long-term partner, Jeff Pimental, who shared his home and heart with Beth, and who helped her with her many health care issues over the years.

Beth was born Christmas morning, December 25, 1965, in Hyannis, MA. She was proud of being a 12th generation Cape Codder. After many years in Centerville, her family relocated to Belhaven, NC. Beth graduated from John A. Wilkinson High School in Belhaven. She attended East Carolina University in Greenville NC. Beth worked in the hospitality and retail businesses. She enjoyed meeting and providing help to others and showed a special affinity for helping elderly friends and neighbors. She nursed both her father and mother through their final terminal illnesses.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 11 AM at St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis, followed by interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Centerville.
