Erna Senft Proia

Erna (Senft) Proia, 93, of Hyannis, died graciously on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. She was born in Breslau, Germany and came to the U.S. in 1953 settling in Newton. Erna lived in Newton, MA before moving to Hyannis 28 years ago.

Erna was the loving wife of the late Edward Proia (1998) and beloved mother of Roswitha, Diana, Paul and Susanna. She is also survived by her 11 adored grandchildren, Kristin, Joseph, Jennifer, Robyn, Jolyn, Alex, Michael, Carla, Chelsea, Matthew and Katie and many great-grandchildren.

Erna enjoyed gardening, taking walks and had a love for animals. Above all else she adored her family.

Friends and Relatives are invited to attend visitation on Friday, September 16th from 7am-8am at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home 160 W. Main St., Hyannis, MA 02601. A graveside service will follow at 9am in the Massachusetts National Cemetery on Connery Avenue in Bourne, MA.
