McDONOUGH Frank R, age 91, of Sandwich, and formerly of Dorchester and Clifden, Co. Galway, Ireland, December 2nd, 2015. Beloved husband of Margaret Grace McDonough of Sandwich. Former devoted husband of Catherine Bushe McDonough (deceased) from Clonmel, Tipperary. Devoted father of John of Wareham, Ellen of Clifden, Galway, Kieran of Boston, Robert of West Barnstable, Gerard of Wareham, and Neal of Vancouver, B.C. Survived by brother Gabriel McDonough of Jamaica Plain. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, Hyannis, on Saturday morning, December 5th at 10 A.M. Burial will be at Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit. Visiting Hours will be at the Doane, Beale & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main St., Hyannis, on Friday, December 4th between 5:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Mr. McDonough was a U.S. Army veteran. He was Boston Realtor of the Year in 1962, and would go on to own numerous properties in Dorchester and Hyannis, in particular the Rainbow Motel on Rte. 132 in Hyannis. He was Chairman of the Boston Board of Appeal. He was also instrumental in establishing the Meeting House Hill Association and the Dorchester House. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. McDonough’s name may be made to the Dorchester House on 1353 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester, MA 02122.
