Gayle Anne Titus

Gayle Anne (Collins) Titus, affectionately known as Gaylie, passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on April 1, 1950, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Miley) Collins.

At the age of 15, Gaylie moved to Cape Cod with her family. She resided in South Yarmouth and attended Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School before her family relocated to Hyannis, where she graduated from Barnstable High School in 1968. It was during a house party in South Dennis that she met her future husband and love of her life, Dave.

Gaylie's career began in Florida, where she worked briefly for Bell Atlantic with the Central Order Bureau, managing telecommunications orders. Upon returning to New England, she continued her work in telecommunications with New England Telephone Company.

Family was everything to Gaylie. She was overjoyed to become a stay-at-home mom when expecting her son, Jared. Her devotion extended to her family, and she was thrilled to help care for her nephew Kenny when her sister asked for assistance.

A selfless and humorous individual, Gaylie had a passion for reading. She loved discovering poems and novels, both fiction and non-fiction, and was particularly fond of the classics, with "Gone with the Wind" being a favorite.

Gaylie is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, David "Dave" Lincoln Titus, her cherished son Jared and his wife Molly, and her adored grandchildren, Madison, Dylan, Taylor, and Sawyer. Her brother-in-law, Steve, and his wife, Kathy. Her siblings Dee, Elva, Robyn, Becky, Mimi, and Michael, as well as her nephews Angelo and his wife Francesca, Michael, Kenny, Zac, Peter, Jacob and her nieces Jaclyn, Sophia, Tori, Becca and Jennifer. Gaylie is predeceased by her brother, Austin, and her nephew, Adam.

Family and Friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 11 AM to 2 PM at Doane, Beal & Ames, 160 W. Main St., in Hyannis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gaylie's memory to a charity of your choice.
