Henry F. Morlock

Henry Morlock, formerly of Yarmouth, Massachusetts, entered life eternal on May 12, 2020. Born on February 10, 1955, son of Walter and Annemarie (Davis) Morlock (both deceased) of Kingston, Massachusetts and later Great Chebeague Island, Maine. Relocating to South Yarmouth, Henry graduated from Dennis Yarmouth High School in 1973, and resided on the Cape for most of his life.

Henry was a beloved member of the Cape-wide theatre community. Having served several decades as an Executive Board member and as Resident Producer for the Barnstable Comedy Club, Henry dedicated thousands of hours of his time and expertise to that and other Cape theatres. An actor, sometimes director, and above all else an experienced producer, Henry’s talents in the world of theatre also included designing sound, lighting effects and sets for the BCC in a career spanning four decades. Henry's presence was known beyond the BCC in several other theatres, lending additional expertise and props for several area theatres.

Henry was the proprietor of Y2K Graphics and served as the primary Graphic Designer and Printer at Cape Cod Hospital, having worked in that capacity for more than forty years. Henry’s work under his father at CCH print shop imbued him with a strong work ethic and dedication he carried with him the rest of his life. Before moving to the Cape, Henry’s early days were spent on the family dairy farm, (Sunny Brook Farm in Kingston). Henry could always be counted on to help friends in need to run errands or occasionally as a handyman.

Henry was a historical arms enthusiast, and a lover of old automobiles. An avid reader; he was particularly a lover of military history, science fiction and the works of Bernard Cornwell. Henry was a regular at the Daily Paper where he could be found spending most of his Saturday mornings with close friends over a black coffee.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Anne Hammett and her husband, John of Bangor, his uncle Karl Morlock of Scarborough, Maine, his aunt Karen Morlock of South Yarmouth, his nephew Chris Hammett of Bangor, his niece Heather Anne Wicks and her husband Ronald Wicks and their daughter Amelia of Mashpee, and hundreds of grateful friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
