Hugh James White

Born in Boston, Mass., Hugh grew up in Dorchester and attended Boston Trade. He became a Master Plumber and went to work for the Plumbers Union Local 12. He moved to Cape Cod in 1967, and taught plumbing at Barnstable Vocational School, then at Cape Cod Tech.

Hugh was a gifted teacher, and in 1985 opened Cape Cod Plumbing School where he helped countless aspiring plumbers get their licenses.

He had a passion for baseball, and coached Barnstable Babe Ruth, as well as at Cape Cod Tech. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

Hugh leaves his loving wife of 63 years, Lorraine (Williams) White of Hyannis; son, Michael White and his wife Kathleen of Centerville; daughter, Donna DelRosso and her husband Michael of Hingham; son, Charles White and his wife Rhea of Guam. He also leaves 3 grandchildren Sarah White, Mia DelRosso and Celia DelRosso.

He was predeceased by his sister, Ann Nagel of Quincy; and his parents James and Mary White of Boston.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Funeral services will be scheduled at a later date.
