Jane was born September 12, 1938, at Cape Cod Hospital. She grew up in Hyannis, MA, graduating from Barnstable High School in 1956. Afterwards, she earned her undergraduate degree from the College of New Rochelle and her Masters in Teaching at Bridgewater State College.
Jane was a lifelong resident of Cape Cod. She taught at West Barnstable Elementary School for several years prior to moving to Yarmouth, MA, then becoming a full-time mother and homemaker. She eventually returned to work as office manager for the Barnstable Water Company, where she was employed for over 20 years until her retirement in the year 2000.
Jane was lovingly devoted to her family and friends. She always made holidays and birthday celebrations special, relished dinners out, along with spending time watching and attending various sporting events with her sons. In her free time, she spent time knitting and crocheting, along with reading, especially mystery novels.
Jane was also a person of deep faith. Her sacramental life began at St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis. Moving to Yarmouth soon after her marriage, she became a dedicated parishioner of St. Pius X Church. In retirement, she volunteered as a teacher's aide at St. Pius X Elementary School.
She is survived by her sons, John E. Morse Jr. and James C. Morse and his wife, Elizabeth (Motte); grandchildren, Joshua and Josephine Morse; her sister-in-law, Joan (Alden) Alberghini; niece, Eleanor Quealey; and nephews, Paul Quealey, David, and John Alberghini. She was preceded by her parents, Joseph C. (Sr.) and Alma E. (Cattabriga) Alberghini; her husband, John E. Morse Sr.; her sister, Doris (Alberghini) Quealey; and brothers, John E. and Joseph C. Alberghini Jr.
The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice and FCP-Live-in for making it possible for Jane to live out her final days in the comfort of her own home. Special thanks to Kim Boswell, her caregiver for the better part of the past two years.
