Jeanenne “Jeannie” Michelle Diorio, 67, of Mashpee, Massachusetts (formerly of Vestal, New York) passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 6, 2021 due to complications caused by progressive Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in El Paso, Texas; moved to Binghamton, New York at a young age with her family and settled in Vestal, New York with her former husband and had her son Adrian Bryce in 1980. She moved to Massachusetts in 2011.

Jeanenne was a successful real estate broker until she retired in 1990 due to being diagnosed with progressive Multiple Sclerosis. As an entrepreneur, she then founded the Disability Assistance Program as a legal advocate to help others in need with progressive, relapsing diseases.

Jeanenne received the Multiple Sclerosis Society’s “1993 MS South Central NY Chapter Achievement Award” for serving as an inspiration to others with the disease. Individuals for this award are chosen according to their initiative, resourcefulness, adaptiveness, and commitment to continue to stay active. She enjoyed traveling and spent many summers with her son in Cape May Point, New Jersey and Sanibel Island, Florida. Jeanenne had a strong, unbreakable bond with her son Adrian Bryce, who solely cared for her since he was eight years old. She will be forever in the hearts of many. Her infectious smile and contagious laugh will be eternally missed. Although the family is devastated, she is deservingly at peace from a tormenting, unforgiving disease.

Jeanenne is survived by one loving son: Adrian Bryce of Boston and spouse Corey Bryce. She also is survived by her favorite fur babies Porter, Parker and Blake.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

The family thanks the staff at Royal Taber Nursing Home in New Bedford and the staff at Royal Cotuit Nursing Home in Mashpee for an exemplary job of caring for her over the last ten years.

Funeral services will be provided by Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home in Hyannis and a private celebration of life will take place in Sanibel Island, Florida, one of her favorite places to vacation with her son Adrian Bryce.

Adrian— I never new your mom except through you and your endless devotion to her care and giving her experiences to continue enjoying life through. What I know is— she created you, a radiant shining light and a person I’ve loved so much, ever since we were young. You are a blessing to her and her legacy lives on in you— through your entrepreneurship, fortitude, creativity, and enthusiasm for life. My prayer for you and your mom is that you get to experience an ongoing soul connection filled with love and inner peace. I’m holding you in my heart. 🙏🏼💗💫

I lost the most important woman in my life. My amazing, strong, sweet, beautiful (not 1 wrinkle!) and loving mom passed away peacefully this weekend due to complications from Multiple Sclerosis. I am devastated, but she is deservingly at peace. As an only child it has never been fair or easy for either of us. She will be forever in my heart and in the hearts of many. I will miss that infectious smile, contagious laugh and the simple fact that she was always there for me no matter what and in return so was I, always. A strong bond that will never be broken. Without you, I wouldn’t be who I am today. You are and will always be my world. I love you mom, always and forever until we meet again. Your Loving Son, Adrian
