Jose M Lima

Jose M. Lima, 78, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family February 16, 2011. He was born in Acores Portugal where he lived for 30 years. He served proudly In the Portuguese military for four years. He became an accomplished carpenter and relocated to the Cape where he lived for more than 40 years. He loved to work and also enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Judite Lima, two sons, John and Gary Lima, daughters Cidalia Pacheco, Cidaliza Peck, Margarida Couto, Natalia Lima and Carmelia Lima. In addition he leaves his brother Dorvalino Lima and sister Conceirao Pacheco as well as 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday February 18, 2011 from 4-7pm at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St. Hyannis, MA 02601. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, South St. Hyannis on Saturday February 19 at 10am. Interment will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.

Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
