Judith K. Sowyrda

Sowyrda, Judith A. (Kennedy), 80 years young of Centerville, died May 28, 2013 after many challenging months with Cancer. Beloved wife of the late John Sowyrda, Jr., loving mother of John Sowyrda and his partner Dennis Westbrook of Boston, Paul Sowyrda and his wife Marion of Medfield, Amy LaCount and her partner Ray Peppin of Sommersworth, NH, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She lived a vibrant, active life with many hobbies and interests and countless loving friends. She volunteered at the Thrift Shop at Cape Cod hospital, attended TOPS and enjoyed biking, swimming, quilting, camping, rowing and more. Singing was one of her greatest joys and she was a member of Cranberry Shores Sweet Adeline’s chorus of Cape Cod, Snug Harbor Chorus of Duxbury, and St. Francis Xavier Parish chorus of Hyannis Port. She will be sorely missed by family and friends. Visiting hours from 4-8 pm, Friday May 31st, at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street, Hyannis .
