

Julianna (Standrick) O’Brien, 82, of East Bridgewater, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025 at her home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late John Joseph O’Brien, married for 43 years.
Born July 30, 1942 in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Standrick and Virginia (Pulsinelli) Standrick. Raised in Dorchester, she graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School and Lemuel Shattuck School of Nursing in Jamaica Plain.
Julie was a retired licensed Practical Nurse. Her and husband fostered over 32 children for many years.
She enjoyed bingo, traveling with her late husband to Bermuda, Florida, Las Vegas and on many cruises.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammie Pierce of Middleboro and Erin Puliafico and her husband Edward Puliafico of East Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Sienna Pierce, Jenna Pierce, Ryan Puliafico, Aidan Puliafico and Emma Puliafico; her sister Barbara Standrick, her bingo friend, Kim Bousquet as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to being predeceased by her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her son David O’Brien and her siblings Stanley Standrick and Dorothy Standrick.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22nd from 4-8pm at Russell and Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St, Brockton, MA 02301. Funeral Service will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Friday, May 23rd at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
