Karin Johnson Alden

Alden, Karin Johnson, 72, of Hyannis, passed away on November 4, 2016. Karin was born in Worcester and was the daughter of Raymond Johnson and Dorothy (Ekberg) Johnson. She was a graduate of North High School in Worcester, she went on to pursue a career in the healthcare profession and became a phlebotomist, giving the utmost care and respect to each of her patients. After retirement, Karin enjoyed spending time with the Friday Crafters at the Barnstable Senior Center ; she was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Barnstable Village.

Karin leaves behind her devoted husband John Daniel Alden of 32 years and her loving daughters Deborah A. Kalinowski of Oxford; Cindy Highman and her husband Christopher of Worcester, and step-daughter Jennifer E. Alden and her husband Peter Melish of Somerville. Karin will also be truly missed by her sister Christine Shusas and her husband Paul of Worcester. She was also the proud Nana to six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A memorial service in Karin’s honor will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 3055 Main Street (Rt. 6A), Barnstable Village, Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Burial will be private.
