

Linton " Lin" Campbell,88, of Centerville, passed away at McCarthy Care Center on December 19, 2021. He was born in Quincy, MA, the son of the late Martin and Lila (McInnis) Campbell. He was the devoted husband of 64 years to Cynthia Stevens Campbell.
He was a graduate of Quincy High School and Boston University. Lin served in Korea with the 7th Infantry Division, “Queen’s Own” 32nd Infantry Regiment. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association, Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2578 and The American Legion Post 206. Lin was also an active member of the Covenant Community Church in Sandwich, MA.
Early in his career he worked for Kaman Aircraft Corporation, Bloomfield, CT, in the Experimental Flight Test Section. Subsequently, Lin worked for many years as a Safety Engineer and retired from Wausau Insurance Companies as Manager of Safety and Health Services, Boston office. He was a professional member of The American Society of Safety Engineers and was past president of the Societies, Connecticut Valley Chapter. He also held certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
Lin is survived by his wife, Cynthia Campbell, daughter, Priscilla Campbell Klock and her husband James of Littleton, MA, his son, Mitchell Campbell and his wife Linda of Franklin, MA, grandchildren Bradley and Rachel Klock and Emma Campbell. Lin also leaves several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his brother, Walter Campbell and his wife Barbara (Allison) Campbell of Marstons Mills, and his sister Mildred Campbell Newcomb of Syracuse, New York.
Burial will be Wednesday December 29, 2021 at 1:30PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
