Lois E. (MacDonald) Caldwell

28, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 13, 1928 in Augusta, ME the

daughter of the late Finley and Isabelle MacDonald. She was the loving wife of the late Gordon E.

Caldwell (2016) and Ralph L. Davis (1964).

Lois moved to the Cape in 1952 from Hingham. She was a long time employee of the Town of Barnstable

and retired several years ago after working in the assessor’s office.Lois was a member of The United Methodist Church of Osterville, she was very active in the church community and took most enjoyment in working the annual Craft Fairs. She was a member of the Eastern Star and past Mother Advisor of the Rainbow Girls and was a long-time member of the Hyannis Yacht Club and Cape Cod Power Squadron.

Lois loved the beach. She also enjoyed reading, knitting and bird watching. Above all else, Lois adored

her family.

Lois is also predeceased by her sister Dorothy Fickett and brothers Robert and Richard “Dick”

MacDonald. She is survived by her daughter Elaine “Ellie” and her husband Ted Eaton of Centerville; son

Glenn Davis and his wife Kristin of Marstons Mills; four grandchildren, Matthew Davis and his wife

Sussie, Sara Lovelette and her husband Marshall, Kristopher Davis, and Joshua Eaton and his wife

Christine and nine great-grandchildren, Julia, Matilda, Anna-lisa and Myles Davis; Anna, Camille and

Keith Lovelette; Zoe and Phoebe Eaton.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend Memorial Services 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8th at The

United Methodist Church of Osterville, 57 Pond St. Osterville, MA 02655. Lois’ family will receive friends

before and after the Memorial Service. Burial services will be private.

The family would like to express their thanks to Diane and the entire Hospice team as well as Lois’

caregivers for the exceptional care of their mother.
