Maureen was born in Boston, MA, daughter of the late William and Jacqueline (O'Donoghue) Cox. She lived in Arlington before moving to Peabody, MA where she lived for many years before relocating to Centerville on Cape Cod. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1962 and received her Associates in Science degree from North Shore Community College in 1989.
Maureen retired from the Mass. Teachers' Association. Maureen loved family gatherings, traveling with family and friends, especially to Disney World, playing cards, reading and shopping.
Maureen is predeceased by her brother William R. Cox and her half-brother, John O'Donoghue. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 1:00pm at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA.
