Known as “Mimi,” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildrem, “Ma,” by her sons, and “Nancy,” by her friends, she was born in Springfield, MA to the late Oscar and Ruth Lorange. She spent her childhood in Waltham and later moved to Cotuit where she attended Barnstable High School and eventually met her husband, Alfred Condinho with whom she shared 18 years of marriage until his passing in (1965).
Together, they moved to Marstons Mills where they started their family. After his passing, Nancy diligently and lovingly raised their three sons on her own and worked extremely hard to provide for her family. Her sons have nothing but gratitude for her.
Nancy was a well-known waitress at The Paddock for 25 years. Nancy participated and inspired others in the Alcoholics Anonymous support groups for 53 years. She loved being a volunteer at Cape Cod Hospital and was true giver and lived to help those around her.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time outdoors whether it be sun bathing or going for walks with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You could find Nancy with her grandkids on any given Friday night at the local Friendly’s, she was a warmhearted Mimi. A family saying that could always be heard is, “I love you as big as the sky,” and it reigns especially true now.
Nancy is survived by her son Jeff Condinho and his wife Dale, her son Scott Condinho and his significant other, Patricia Barry, and her son Craig Condinho and his significant other, Donna DeRosa. She is survived by her grandson, Kyle Condinho and his wife Julie and their children, Grace, Kate, and Max, and her granddaughter Nicole Britton and husband Jerad and their children, Crosby and Blake. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Alfred and her brother, Robert Lorange.
Nancy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the dedicated staff at the Pavilion for their kindness and care for Nancy.
A Celebration of Life service will be announced and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Nancy’s memory to VNA of Cape Cod Hospice at CCHC Foundation P.O. Box 370 Hyannis, MA 02601.
