

Patricia Towle, 73, died December 25, 2011 after a lengthy and honorable battle with an un-relenting illness. Born in Ashland, MA Patsy grew up in Westport, Connecticut and graduated from Staples High School. She then attended Mary Washington College in Virginia and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education. After graduating, she taught the Second Grade for a number of years. Patsy met and married her first husband Charles E. Crane Jr. in 1963. As Chuck and Patsy raised their family in Weston, CT and Concord, MA she was extremely active as a volunteer in her church, the PTA and PEO. After the untimely death of Chuck in 1981, she married her second husband Bradford Towle. Brad was the Director of the Museum of Science in Boston and Patsy remained active as a volunteer. Patsy, Brad and their family lived in Concord, MA during his career. The Cape was always a much loved summer retreat for the family. When Brad retired in 1993, he and Patsy permanently relocated to Osterville. Patsy was an extremely social and active person who treasured her many friends and the charm the Cape has to offer. Pasty was a tireless and devoted provider who loved her family above all else. Her beauty, charm, grace, dignity, strength and resolve will be missed greatly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Patricia was predeceased by both of her husbands, Charles E. Crane and Bradford Towle, as well as her sister Martha W. Duck. She is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Anderson of Austin, TX and Heather Niblock of Annapolis, MD. Also surviving are her six grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, January 3 from 4-7pm at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St. Hyannis, MA 02601. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4 at 1pm at St. Peters Church, 421 Wianno Ave. Osterville, MA. Burial will be a later date.
