

Paul E. Bell, 92, died at Mayflower Place on August 8, 2013. He was born and educated in the Pittsburgh area of PA. Following the completion of his education, he proudly served in the U.S. Marines in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. While in the service, he met his wife Joan also serving and they were married in 1945. In 1956 the family relocated to Cape Cod where Paul took a position with the Air National Guard at Otis Air Force Base. He retired in 1981 and spent time working in real estate. He enjoyed playing tennis and traveling to FL and A Z with his wife during his retirement years. Friends and family will remember his smile and wonderful sense of humor.
He was predeceased by his son Paul E. Bell Jr. He is survived by his wife Joan with whom he enjoyed 68 years of marriage. He also leaves his daughters, Kathleen Bell of Barnstable, Sharon Bell of Centerville and Susan and her husband Michael Pereira of Centerville. Additional survivors include 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday August 13, 2013 from 3 – 6pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 14, 2013 at 12pm, both events will be at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St. Hyannis, MA 02601. Interment will be private.
