Peter Nicholas Giacomozzi

Peter was born in Quincy Massachusetts to Pietro and Marie (Iovanna) Giacomozzi and was the fourth of nine children.

He attended Archbishop Williams High School where he met the love of his life, his wife of 53 years, Colleen (Faherty) Giacomozzi. After graduating from Northeastern University he worked in a variety of companies as the CFO. These included McCormack & Dodge, Trio’s Pasta, Randolph Engineering and Brophy & Phillips.

Peter was an avid fisherman and an active member of Waquoit Bay Yacht Club, where he also served as Commodore. When he was not out chasing stripers on his beloved “Pescatore,” he enjoyed cooking and hosting parties for his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His lasagna and braciole are legendary.

In addition to his parents, Peter is predeceased by his sisters Patricia Haddad, Denise Carnahan and Pamela Gordon, his brothers in law Larry Faherty, Timothy Faherty and sister in law Deborah (Spane) Faherty.

Peter is survived by his wife Colleen, daughter Tara Giacomozzi of Edgewater NJ, son Tyler Giacomozzi and his significant other Samantha Pike of Pembroke MA; his brother Matthew Giacomozzi and his significant other Linda Killion of Bourne MA; his sisters Mary Larson and spouse Niles of Concord CA, Linda Giacomozzi of Westwood MA, Teresa Freedom of Rocky Hill CT, Lisa Giacomozzi of Oakland ME and Ralph Hyson of Ocala FL as well as his brothers in law Brian Faherty and wife Janice( Norton) and Dennis Faherty.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 10:30 am at Saint Peter’s Church at 86 Court Street, Plymouth MA.

Peter felt strongly that every child deserved a happy Christmas, so in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to toys for tots or your favorite charity for children.
