Raymond Luis Alves

Raymond was born in Hilo and raised in Hilo and Kealakekua, Hawaii. He was the son of the late Peter and Ida Alves. In his mid-20’s, Raymond moved to Cape Cod. He began working for his friend’s landscaping business in Hyannis and soon after started building custom pools with Luzietti's Pool & Spa, Hyannis. Raymond was also a talented carpenter. For several years, he built custom cabinets for Lewis & Weldon Custom Kitchens, Hyannis.

Raymond loved the ocean and was an avid fisherman; he also enjoyed building race cars. Above all else, Raymond loved his family. He is survived by his former partner of almost 30 years, Karen Prendeville of Marshfield, MA, his daughter Heather Alves of South Yarmouth, MA, his grandchildren Cameron Alves, Christopher Alves, Carly Alves, Aiden Duplissi, his great-grandson Luke Bartolomy, all of South Yarmouth, his brothers Robert (Yoshiko) Alves, William Alves, Alfredo Alves, sisters Lori Llanes, Bernadette Alves, Serena Alves, half-brothers Peter Albez, Jr., Clyde Albez, half-sister Rachel Albez-Ullerick all of Hawaii and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Doane, Beal & Ames, Hyannis, MA.
