Vickie R. McDaniel

McDaniel, Vickie R., 51, of Hyannis, passed away on May 31, 2015. She leaves behind her devoted parents, Willie and Mary Jean (Hutchins) McDaniel of Hyannis, her dear sister, Delvashah McDaniel, her loving brother John Oliver and her cherished nieces and nephews, Ava McDaniel, Allyasandra McDaniel, Ke-Shawn McDaniel, and Ryan McDaniel. She will be missed by her uncles, Carter and Winston and her aunts, Jaunita, Bryent, Marie, and Christine, as well as many cousins and friends. Vickie was pre-deceased by her aunts Betty King and Ludie McDaniel and her uncle Maurice McDaniel. Vickie was born in Georgia, moving to Cape Cod with her parents when she was a young child, she enjoyed engaging in an array of varsity sports during high school, graduating in 1983 from Barnstable High School. She went on to get her Bachelor’s degree from Boston College and became head of the human resources department at Over Look. Through her life, Vickie was continuously a faithful member of the Zion Union Church, she shared her love of music with her fellow parishioners by starting and being a part of the Music, Dance and Youth Ministries, constantly putting others before herself and making people smile and laugh. She will truly be missed by all.

Visitation will be held at Zion Union Church, 805 Attucks Ln, Hyannis, on Monday, June 8 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service in her honor will be held at Zion Union Church on Tuesday, June 9 at 10:00 AM. Donations in her memory may be made to Zion Union Church Youth Group.
