
Walter B. “Denny” Densmore 77, of Hyannis, Massachusetts passed on July 12, 2014 after a long illness.
He was born in New London, New Hampshire on March 30, 1937 and was the son of Harold J. Densmore and Bertha Heman Densmore .
He is survived by a sister Nancy Courtemache of Claremont N.H. and a brother Donald Densmore of Casadega FLA.
He also leaves two sons Robert and James Densmore of Claremont N.H. and two stepsons Paul Drouin, deceased and Michael Drouin of N.H. Also a great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. He leaves his wife of 27 years Connie Densmore, and five step children.
Walter attended grammar school in N.H. and graduated from automobile technical school in Daytona Florida, and spent over 40 years as an auto technician.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1955 and was stationed on the “U.S.S. Rooks”. He enjoyed antique car shows and also participated in many. He enjoyed his collection of antique models. He was a proud 36 year member of a recovery group, also a member of V.A. groups, and was given the nickname “Chief” by his friends.
There will be a memorial service at the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am
