Willie was born to the late Willie and Helena (Cotell) Maddox in Hyannis, Ma. He received his formal education in Hyannis and Boston, MA

He worked at Harrison Supply Company. As a young man he suffered a severe head injury in a motor vehicle accident. Billy enjoyed music, and had a love for cars and trucks. He is remembered for caring and helping others.

Billy was known for his witty and great sense of humor. Family and friends were important to him. Billy went through so much yet he never gave up and there were times that he shared his faith in Christ.

He leaves to cherish to cherish; Viola Moultrie (Robert) of Chesapeake, Va., Diane Murphy of Hyannis, Zilpha Holmes (Fred) of Boston, Deborah Maddox of Columbus, Ohio, Robert Lindsay and wife Sandra of Mashpee and the late Eleanor Maddox , and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
