Brandon Chase Motley

Brandon was born on December 13, 1983 to Brenda and Thomas Motley. He graduated from Grain Valley High School in 2002 and moved to Kansas City to pursue a career in visual merchandising and sales. Despite his tireless work ethic, he made time to peruse the nightlife in Kansas City and live it up with his friends in dance clubs downtown. Brandon’s love for dancing flourished during his time as a singer and dancer during show choir class in high school. He often made personal mix tapes and choreographed elaborate dances for his show choir friends to perform during school talent shows.

Brandon also loved fashion, which permeated in his work and personal life as he dedicated himself to visual merchandising, sales and customer service. He often revamped his wardrobe to stay ahead of trends each season. His museum-worthy collection of clothing tells a story all on its own.

Brandon will be remembered as a generous and loyal friend, a loving supporter of family in need and a bright light in anyone’s life who was fortunate enough to know him.

Brandon is survived by his mother, Brenda; his father, Thomas; and his brother, Corey.

A visitation for Brandon will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel, 509 S. Noland Rd., Independence, Missouri 64050, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
