Deanna Leigh Patton (Hayward), 67, of Dearborn, MO passed away June 16, 2023. Deanna was born April 26,1956 in St. Joseph, MO to Billy Lee and Shirley Jean (Kiefer) Hayward. She was the second of three girls.
Her passion in life included fostering and rescuing animals, saving hundreds of animals lives, she also enjoyed making and selling her own jewelry at local craft shows. She worked at Hallmark for more than 20 years, leaving the company in 2010. She and Perry met at Hallmark where they both worked, the couple married in 2003, celebrating 20 years of marriage. She and Perry adopted their granddaughter, Stevie in 2011.
Deanna is survived by her husband; Perry, son; Steven Hayward, daughter; Audrey Davis, 2 grandsons; Austin and Dylan Hughart, 2 granddaughters; Lillian Earl and Stevie Patton, stepdaughters; Kelly and Leslie Patton, sister; Audrey Stranak (Hayward). She was preceded in death by her parents, son; Joshua Davis and a sister Renee Fleeman (Hayward).
A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 12:00-1:00pm with memorial service at 1:00pm at Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel 509 S. Noland Rd., Independence, MO 64050. After services have concluded, all are invited to Church of Christ, 15331 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 for a reception.
