Edward "Eddie" Lee Taylor

He spent his early years near Henderson Iowa and El Segundo Ca. The family moved to Urbana, Mo. when Eddie was in the 8th grade.

He graduated in high school in 1955 from Urbana, then he enlisted in the US Navy. He was united in marriage with Susie Wilkerson on September 23, 1956 in Louisburg Mo. and to this union three children were born, Robbie, Tommy, and Patti. They were married 60 years. Eddie and Susie raised their family in Independence, Mo., living there over 50 years. He worked at Certainteed in Fairfax, Ks. for 24 years. Eddie retired from Lake City Arsenal, Independence, Mo., where he was an inspector. He was a great armchair sports follower. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Stanley and Mike, and his son, Tommy. He is survived by his wife Susie, his son Rob and Mary Jo Taylor, daughter Patti and B.J. Beaty, sister Martha and Nelson Giberson, and Aunt Carol Sowers. His pride and joy were his four grandchildren, Jimmy, Jessica, Jacob, and Matt, and two great grandchildren, Ryan and Caden. And many cousins and friends.
