Our Mother, Evelyn Irene Parker-Lewis (Tootles) left this world on March 3, 2024 at the age of 85. Evelyn passed away residing at her son’s home with her family. Evelyn is known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as (Grammy). Grammy will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in their hearts. Evelyn is known as Tootles, a name given to her by her brother a longtime ago. This name has continued to this day with many of her family and closest friends.

Born in Marshall, Missouri, on Sept. 24, 1938, the youngest of four, to Magdelein Coats and Lloyd Parker. Evelyn lived in Independence, MO for almost her adult life, raising a wonderful son and was married to husband Phillip W. Lewis (PW) who she preceded in death. Both Evelyn and Phillip owned and operated Lewis Cleaners in Independence, MO for decades before retiring in 2000. Evelyn loved estate sales, flea markets, collecting hallmark decor, her TOPS Club, road trips, cruises, and family dinners.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her (paternal parents), Magdelein Coats (Mother) and Lloyd Parker (Father), brothers Joseph Floyd (Buddy Jo) Parker (wife Mildred) and Joseph Kenneth (Bobby) Parker (wife Lillian).

Tootles is survived by her son, Sean (wife Jessie) Downing, 3 granddaughters, Erica (husband T.J.) Bennett, Brooke Downing and partner Sam Bradley and Whisper (husband David) Coffman, 1 great grandson, Romeo Vincent Coffman, 2 great granddaughters, Olivia Rose Coffman and Everly Grace Bennett, and her Sister Mary Smith (Husband Tom).

Evelyn will always be cherished as a part of their lives, a guiding light in our journey, and beautiful soul that graced this earth with her presence. May you find eternal peace, boundless joy, and the rest in the realms beyond. You will be missed, but never forgotten.

There will be no services upon Evelyn's request. A Celebration of Life will be held as well as the cremation and burial with private services at a later date.
