Janet Marie Knodel, age 70, of Independence, passed away July 5, 2017. Memorial Service – 10am, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Newcomers Noland Road Chapel. Janet Marie Knodel, of Independence, passed away July 5, 2017. She was born March 2, 1947 in Ft Scott, Ks to Thomas Harold and Mary Louise (Cullen) Feagins. She was raised and educated in Ft Scott, Ks, graduating from Ft Scott High School in 1965. Janet married Leonard Knodel, in Ft Scott, Ks, April 15, 1989. He survives.She worked as a nurse’s aide, then became a ‘stay at home’ mom when her youngest was born. In her spare time she was active in her church, watching game shows on T.V., crossword puzzles. She is survived by, Husband- Leonard, Daughter- Leona Feagins, Son – David McCord.
