John Patrick Callahan

John Patrick “Pat” Callahan, 84 of Independence, Missouri passed away June 20, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00pm, Thursday, June 26, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Independence, Missouri. Burial will be 11:00am Friday, June 27, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Laurie, Missouri. Visitation will be 10:00 to 12:00 noon Thursday prior to the service at the Church with the Rosary being prayed at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Pat served his country proudly during the Korean War and is a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, 2 grandsons, 1 great-granddaughter and his first wife Patricia. Pat is survived by his wife Sue Callahan, 9 children, Linda Moore (Frank), Katie DePeralta (Mark), Teresa Chambers (Bruce), Dan Callahan, Tim Callahan (Gaylene), Connie Peteete (Mike), Dana Callahan, Susan Callahan and John Wheeler. 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, loved ones and friends.
