

Judy (Judith) Mae Marx, 75, of Grain Valley, MO passed away on Sunday May 1st after a fight with COPD and brief battle with Pneumonia. Judy was born on January 1, 1947 to late Edward Downey and Alice Downey in Seneca, IL. Judy met Dennis Yocum and spent 26 years appreciating life with his companionship.
Judy was a barber for 15 years before becoming a Logistic Specialist at Arrow Truck Sales from January 7, 1988 until she retired on October 25, 2017. She enjoyed spending time with Dennis, her children, her grandchildren, her Bessie (dog) and Freckles (cat). Some of her favorite activities included having tea with her daughters on Sunday mornings, attending her grandchildren’s sporting and school events, going to the lake, and spending time at the Fraternal Order Of Eagles club where she was president for a brief time. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Judy is survived by Dennis Yocum (fiancé), Darlene Drake (sister), Paula Sanders (daughter), Tamme Terry (daughter), Todd Yurko (son), 6 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
A visitation for Judy will be held Thursday May 12 from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at Newcomer’s Noland Road Chapel, 509 South Noland Road, Independence, MO 64050 (816) 252-5397. The funeral service will be held at 7:30 pm directly following the visitation.
