

Ken was born October 8, 1934 in Fayette County, Iowa, the son of Jason Homer and Hazel Mae (Holtzman) Bailey.
He attended Arlington High School in Arlington, Iowa. After graduation he worked at the John Deere factory. He graduated from Bethany Nazarene College in Oklahoma City. He owned a landscaping service while there. He attended Finley Engineering College where he earned an Engineering Degree. Ken attended Park University, in Parkville MO, earning a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration. Ken retired from the Kansas City Zoo after working there for several faithful years of employment.
He entered the Army in April 1957, serving as a tank mechanic until April 1959 from Ft Lewis Washington. He was a Spec 4, earning the Good Conduct Medal.
Ken volunteered at Missouri Town 1955. He enjoyed teaching Lost Arts of 1800's and was a member of the Osage Spinners and Weavers guild.
While studying genealogy he found members of his family and became eligible to join: Sons of of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Westport Camp #64, Sons of American Revolution, Harry S. Truman Chapter (serving as Chaplin), George Washington Army at Valley Forge, the Mayflower Society, and the Pilgrim Edward Doty Society.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Hazel Bailey, his first with Janette, son Roger Bailey, and sister Mae May.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Delores Wolfe-Bailey, son Steven (Becky), Chad (Ruth), brother Richard (Leona) Bailey, and his grandchildren, Logan, Adam, Samantha, David, Roger, and great-grandchildren Luka and Lilly.
