Marjorie A. Arrowsmith

Marjorie A (Needles) Arrowsmith, age 90, of Lee’s Summit, passed away March 30, 2017. Visitation Monday, April 3, 2017, 10am. Funeral Service Monday, April 3, 2017, 11am. Services at Newcomers Noland Road Chapel. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

She was born October 3, 1926, in Kansas City, Mo. to Avery and Irene (Kenny) Needles. Marjorie was raised in Pleasant Valley then moved to Liberty where she graduated from Liberty High School in 1944.

She married Jerry Arrowsmith, June 21, 1946, in Liberty Mo. He passed away in 2009.

They had 2 children; Jay and Susan were raised in the Kansas City area.

Marjorie worked for Metropolitan Savings and Loan where she was a bank officer. She retired in 1990.

She spent her time in retirement traveling and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blue Springs.

Preceded in death by daughter Susan Arrowsmith.

She is survived by; Son, Jay (Diana) Arrowsmith. Grandchildren; Jeff (Crystal) Arrowsmith, Becky ( Matt) Borchardt, Angie(Brian) Ciolek. Great grandchildren; Dakota, Parker, Hunter, Gage, Ellie, Meeka.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice in Marjorie’s name.
