

Born on September 4, 1955, he was the grandson of Argus and Pearl Pitts and the nephew of Leo and Lois Pitts of Hermitage, Missouri.
Michael was married to Pam Pearson for thirty-nine years and was extremely proud of the three children and five grandchildren that they shared and who brought joy into their home.
A veteran of the United States Navy, he spent most of his adult life working for the Kansas Department of Transportation. His love for God was evident in his service to his church. He was an active member of Connection Point (formerly First Baptist Raytown) Church, where he taught preschoolers for seventeen years and served as a deacon.
Michael was an avid fly fisherman and loved camping, hobbies he shared with his wife. He loved to garden, producing a flower garden each year that was enjoyed by many people who drove by.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Pam; two daughters, Carly Paul and Katie Evers; and a son Kurtis Johnson. He also left five grandchildren, Baylee, Nyla, Korbin, Gage and Liam; his dear cousin, Linda Becker; an uncle, Jerry Pitts; three sisters, Wendy, Dawn and Lisa; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be December 7 at Connection Point Church (formerly First Baptist Raytown) in Raytown Missouri.
Visitation 12:00 - 1:30. Service 1:30
Burial will be December 8 at Pittsburg, Missouri at the Pittsburg Missionary Baptist Church. There will be a visitation 12:00 - 1:00 with burial following in the cemetery.
