Michael (Mike) Young passed away on Friday, November 27th, 2020 in the evening. He is survived by his three children, David, Jessica, and Nova, as well as his nine grandchildren, Magnus, Dawn, William, Gabriel, Kyna, Annabelle, Dennis, Thaylin, and Gerramiah. He also leaves behind his loving, long-time-friend-turned-fiancee’, Annette.
Mike was a kind and generous man with a great deal of love in his heart. He was fair, upstanding, funny, and a general joy to be around. He was a brilliant thinker who loved games of many types and genres, but his favorite were strategy games. When he was younger he enjoyed drawing and writing, but as he grew older he enjoyed seeing what was once thought of as “science fiction” slowly turn to reality. Rocket ships, a space station, trips to Mars, and even advancements in robotics and cybernetics. He often quipped that we were living in the future, and he didn’t want to die as early as he did.
We will forever remember him as the great Dad that he was, the great friend that he was, the great companion he was. And he will be sorely missed.
