Norma J Lee was born January 24, 1931, in Kadoka, South Dakota and went to be with the Lord, August 12, 2015. She was the youngest of three children born to Frank and Alwilda (Brownie) Munger. She attended North Central Bible Institute in Minneapolis, MN, where she met and married Everett M. Lee on May 23, 1953. They began their ministry together while in college helping with an inner city church in St. Paul, MN. Upon graduation, they began pastoring in Kansas and then continued their ministry over the years in NE, IL, and IA before spending the final 25 years of ministry in Clinton and Taylorsville, KY. She was known as a partner in ministry with her husband in all areas. She preached, held Kids’ Crusades, worked with women in ministry, and truly cared about ministering to the shuts-ins and those in nursing homes. She was ordained as a minister with the Assemblies of God in 1976.
Grateful for having shared life with Sis. Lee are her children, Marsha (Curt) Nies, Richmond, IN; Donetta (Randy) Smith, Independence, MO; Raymond Lee, Independence, MO; and Robbie (Chad) Smith, Gardner, KS; and grandchildren Jonathan, Candace (Craig), Nathan, Kyle, and Tabitha Nies; Brett (Leah) Smith; Krista and Kaleb Smith, and two great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Benjamin. She is also survived by one sister, Beverly Island, and her sister-in-law, June Wiebe. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 55 years, and her brother, Kenneth Munger.
She was loved and will be missed by all. Her final wish she shared was, “I just want everybody to go to heaven.”
