Richard Lee Ross, age 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 10th, 2025. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19th, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Newcomers Funeral Home located at 509 South Noland Road Independence, Missouri 64050. The funeral will be on Thursday, February 20th at 11:00am at Newcomers Funeral Home. There will be a military graveside service at 1:45pm at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville located at 20109 Bus, MO-13, Higginsville, Missouri 64037.
Richard Lee Ross was born on January 18th, 1946 in Lexington, Missouri to Marceline and Edwin Ross. Richard served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1966. He spent most of his career afterwards as a truck driver. In 1972, Richard married Beverly Ross and within that union he gained 3 step children. In 1973, Richard and Beverly had their daughter Lisa Ross. Richard was a hard-working provider for his family and was one of the most giving people you would ever meet.
Richard is survived by his wife, Beverly Ross; daughters Lisa Perez and Tina Jones; grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Teresa, Ciera, and Kayli; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings Janis Williams, Donald Ross, and Betty Ross. Richard will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
