Tommy James Burrow

Tom "TJ" Burrow, 86, of Independence, MO, went to the Lord October 2, 2022. He was married to Barbara "Bobbie" Burrow for 65 years, who passed two weeks after him on October 14, 2022. A double Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Bible Church, 4916 Lee's Summit Rd, Kansas City, MO, on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11am. He is survived by his daughter Amy Cramer (Jim), son Jeff Burrow (Lisa), three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Tom spent his early years in California where his father was a commercial fisherman. He grew up fishing and hunting then earned his pilot's license and in later years took up woodworking. Tom served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958 & was stationed in Hawaii. He owned a wholesale optical business in Grandview, MO before retirement. Tom's love for fishing stuck & after he retired, he spent his winters in South Padre Island on his boat fishing the Bay. He was a socializer, always visiting with someone. Tom was a generous man, taking good care of everyone. Family was his priority and we knew we were loved very much. Jesus was ready for him to come home and he was ready to go! Tom and Bobbie were members of the Pleasant Grove Bible Church for 35 years.
