“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” Matthew 16:26 (New King James Version) For Mr. Laliberte it should read  “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and retains his own soul?”  I know him through the stories of his daughter Kathy.  She related a man that profited by a loving wife, four loving daughters and the love of numerous grandchildren and his great grandchildren.  She indicated a generous and caring man to both family and friends, always willing to help.  A man involved in his community.  These are indications he did invest in the world around him by giving of himself to that world and in turn profited from what he received from that world and by doing so retained his own soul.  To Mr Laliberte's family you have profited greatly by your husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  Cherish the memories that were specific to you as individuals and cherish the memories you shared with him as a group.  
It is always hard to lose a loved one at Christmas for you feel that the Christmas season is diminished somehow.  In fact if you combine the remembrance of Christ's birth with the remembrance of your loved one it becomes a celebration of the combined love of your Heavenly Father and in your case, your earthly father.  From now on, each Christmas can be celebrated in this combined loving memory.
I praise and thank you for the stories told of your father, for the man he was and will always be for evermore in your memory.  God Bless you and your family.
