

Aleatha J. Chislom was born in Central City Kentucky to James and Virtle Nall on July 17,1948.
Aleatha J. Chislom attended Indianapolis Public School #36 and graduated from Short Ridge High School.
On July 26, 1969, she married her high school sweetheart Carl Chislom Sr., of this union 2 children were born.
Aleatha worked for IPS School System for many years until she retired.
Aleatha loved spending time with her family and looked forward to attending the annual family reunion. She loved the Lord and loved to serve. Aleatha joined and attended Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Wayne T. Harris Sr. She was a faithful servant and served on the usher board for many years, she also taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Aleatha later joined Zion Hope Baptist Church and became a member under the leadership of Pastor Tony McGee.
Aleatha J. Chislom is preceded in death by her parents James and Virtle Nall, 2 brothers, Willard E. Nall and William R. Nall, her sister Sandra K. Nall, 1 grandson Carl D. Chislom, 1 great-grandson Prince A. Cooper and 3 nephews, Marvis Nall Jr. (Man), Naekieo Lindsey and James Nall.
Aleatha J. Chislom leaves to cherish her memory, husband of 56 years Carl Chislom Sr., children Angelia Eubank (Morris) and Carl Chislom Jr., 2 brothers, Jerald Nall (Pam) and Marvis A. Nall Sr., 9 grandchildren, Andre Chislom Sr., Christina Vance, Crystal Vance, Tiffany Eubank, Shalanda Cooper, Cara Chislom, Carriea Chislom, David Eubank, Katina Henzie,10 great-grandchildren, and her 98-year-old aunt Leathe Mae Adams and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home, located at 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN, 46208, on December 27, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue, beginning at 12:00 pm.
