Allen Michael Carroll

Allen Michael Carroll, born on February 27, 1938, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late James G. and Lulu Irene (Lowden) Carroll, 1 of 7 children. He fought hard to beat his cancer and passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 87.

Allen attended Shortridge High School and met his loving wife, Maxine McCleery at Shortridge, they married on June 22, 1957, and she preceded him in death.

Allen was blessed to have 2 children, Terry Augspurger, and her husband Randy Augspurger; and her son Bart Early; and Dean Carroll, who preceded him in death; Dean’s children, Nicholas Carroll (Sarah), and James Carroll (Venecia); and 3 great-grandchildren, James, Jacob, and Leah.

He was introduced to the construction world at 18 starting with surveying, machinery and ran crews that specialized in tunnel work. He continued his knowledge as an estimator for many years after.

Allen was proud to serve in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.

He was a great golfer and enjoyed many games of basketball, baseball, football, and fishing with his 3 grandchildren.

Allen loved all dogs and cherished Holly dog.

He loved Maxine's sisters, Marilyn Greulach who preceded him in death and Ruthann Graham.

He was a kind loving man who believed in God and his country. We will miss him deeply.
