Alvin Earl Query

Earl Query, age 68, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021. Earl was born August 15, 1952. He was a graduate of Northwest High School in 1970 and attended some college at MBBC and PBBC. He was a faithful employee at The State of Indiana Department of Workforce Development. He worked at National City Bank and Blocks Department Store for 18 years each. Earl was an active member of Crosspointe Baptist Church (formerly Eagledale Baptist Church). Earl enjoyed assisting in the Reformer's Unanimous (RU) program and in youth programs where he touched many lives over the years. He participated in the choir at church and with the men's singing group where he sang with a beautiful tenor voice for many years. He was faithful in being at church whenever the doors were open including going to, participating in, and leading whenever possible. He loved his church and the people in it. He was always one of the first of volunteer to help when needed even (or maybe especially when) heavy labor was needed. His dedication to his church family was always evident. Earl was preceded in death by his parents Chester Earl and Emma Tressa Query, and his brother, Dennis Michael Query. Earl is survived by Debbie his wife of 45 years; his sons Nathannael, James and David; his "daughter in love" Bethany; his granddaughter Aylen; his sister, Carolyn; and numerous nieces and nephews. He had a strong connection to his family. He was elated to become a grandfather and had a very special love relationship with Aylen. His playful spirit with Aylen was always a fun interaction to watch. Earl was motivated by helping others, strove to be a good employee and to be a faithful member with his church family. He will be missed by so many. A Celebration of Life service for Earl will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 10:30 am at Crosspointe Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday, August 9, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm also at Crosspointe Baptist Church. Burial will follow at New Winchester Cemetery.
