Andre P. Hatchett Sr.

MR. ANDRE PAUL HATCHETT SR., was born to the late Sandra Marie Hall (Hatchett) & Henry Clanton on November 3, 1962 in Indianapolis, IN. He was never called by his given name and was affectionately called “Hank” by family and friends.

HANK attended elementary school at IPS #42 and John Marshall High School. He enlisted in the US Army on February 12, 1980 and separated from the Army on February 1, 1983. Hank served in the National Guard 1983 through 1992. He was employed at Circle City Heat Treating for over 15 years where his co-workers were like family and friends. He professed his love for God and was baptized as an adult.

HANK met Liz Jackson on May 3, 1983 and they were later united in holy matrimony on March 10, 1989. To this union, they were blessed with three children. They took their vows seriously and remained married until his death.

HANK loved being in the company of family and friends and always enjoyed family gatherings. A loving and devoted husband and father to his children and grandchildren, he did everything he could for them. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his loved ones. His heart was always full and his hands always willing to help in any way he could. His warm smile, unique laugh and quiet personality will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

MR. ANDRE PAUL HATCHETT SR., departed this life on the morning of December 28, 2021 at the age of 59 years, 1 month and 25 days old. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Andrea “Deanie” Caldwell, brother, Ali Clanton and grandparents Rudolph Sr., and Fern Hall whom helped raise him.

HANK leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Elizabeth; children, Andre Paul Jr, (Krystal,) Aaron Michael and Aaliyah Marie; grandchildren, Andre II and Ava Rose; sister, Delicia “Jeanie” Atwater (Griffin). Hank was recently blessed to have met his Clanton siblings; sisters, Fatima Clanton, Sana Clanton Hampton, Gwendolyn Clanton Johnson (Thomas); brothers, Lawrence Clanton (Sheila), Wail Clanton; twin siblings Nicholas George and Nichole Wynne Neal (Mayon Jr); mother in law, Lucy Newsom (Morris); sister in laws, Elaine Jackson, Angela Shirley (Howie); brother in law, Emanuel Jackson; aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins.
