Anne Irene Pierson

93, of Indianapolis, passed away June 21, 2016. She was born January 27, 1923 to the late Ula and Rilda Murley. Anne worked for several companies throughout her life including Consolidated Aircraft in San Diego, Curtis Wright, Rogers Jewelry, opened Next to New Shop, and was a secretary for Beech Grove Business Men and Beech Grove High School Guidance Department. She was also a court clerk in Beech Grove and founded the Beech Gove Senior Citizen Center. Anne was preceded in death by two husbands: Odas Smith and George Pierson, two sisters: June Bell and Sylvia Morris and son-in-law: Gary Starks. She is survived by her children: Pam Starks and Steve (Kim) Smith, grandchildren Deanna (Ryan), Donna (Jim), Curtis and great grandchildren Jessica, Cameron, Brenna, Emily, Nathan, Zachary, Rylan. . Visitation will be Sunday, June 26, from 2:00 – 6:00 pm and Monday, June 27, from 10:00 – 11:00 at Little & Sons Stop 11 Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, June 27, 11:00 am in the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Indian Creek Christian Church.
