Ava "Greg" Gregory James, age 76, of Greenfield, Indiana passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025. Greg was born in Canton, Ohio on September 26, 1948 to the late Ava "Frank" Francis James and Vonnie (Cambell) James. After high school, Greg joined the United States Army with the 101st Airborne and served in Vietnam where he was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Greg is survived by his children, Chris James and Ava Glaser; grandchildren, Gage James, Jaxton James, Koltsen James; brother, Jeff James. Greg was preceded in passing by his parents; and siblings, Ruth Ann Doom, Jo Ann Mackison, Brian James and Linda Thomson.
Greg will be laid to rest on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM EST in Crown Hill Columbarium Annex, 725 W. 42nd Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46208
