Barbara Elaine Blakemore

That piece of heaven was a baby girl that they named Barbara.

She was the last of six children born to the union and deeply loved by her sisters and brothers. Barbara was a happy baby full of joy that followed her into adulthood.

She could always find something good to say about anyone. She loved fun, laughter and music and most of all she loved God.

Barbara accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Corinthian Baptist Church where she sang in the youth choir.

Barbara attended school 26 and then Attucks where she graduated. While at Attucks she joined a group of girls called T.N.T that are still close friends till today.

After graduation she had several odd jobs that she worked until she was hired at Link Belt where she retired.

On July 15th 1976 she was united in marriage to James Blakemore, to this blended union was born a son James Blakemore the third.

This brought the number of their children up to five all of who Barbara loved.

The sun set for Barbara Elaine Blakemore on this side of heaven December 9, 2019 and she went home to be with the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Wallace and Donald, her sister Shirley and her husband James Blakemore Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory the children, James the third, Maurice (LaDonnica), Carl Anthony and Jeanenne, her brother Larry (Jacqueline) and sister Zena Gray. Two grandsons Brandon and James Blakemore; a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews and a great many relatives and friends.

She will be truly missed.

But though the sun set for her on this side of heaven. The Son smiled on her on the other side.

For to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!!!
