Barbara L. Zimmerman, age 93, of Indianapolis, Indiana went to be with her Lord on Friday September 6, 2019. She was born December 24, 1925 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Katheryn M. (Balay) Wilkerson and James Clinton Wilkerson, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Albert and William Wilkerson; and her husband, Charles Wayne Zimmerman.
Barbara was a member of the Lawrence United Methodist Church and had been very active on many committees. She worked as a Claims Adjuster at Westfield Insurance for 38 years before retiring. Barbara loved to read and travel.
She is survived by her; sister, Wanda L. Richey; sister-in-law, Anna Wilkerson; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of her Life will be held Friday, September 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
